First UMC has a rich heritage. Founded in 1850, we were the first church in Sulphur Springs and one of the first Methodist churches in North East Texas. We have recently completed an extensive restoration and improvements to our sanctuary, educational building and campus parsonage. We are enjoying new staff, new classes, new opportunities for missions and ministries. What an exciting time it is to get connected, become involved and grow together as disciples for Christ.
